Torrox is located between Torre del Mar and Nerja, about 48 km east of Málaga. The A7 road divides the city in two ? Torrox Costa to the south of the road and Torrox Pueblo to the north. Torrox Pueblo gives the impression of being a somewhat forgotten town that no one had a need for and that most people just travel by. But those born and raised there have been happy to have the heavily Arab-influenced city to themselves.
Apart from the churches, the old watchtower and some statues and fountains, it is the old Arabic architecture and the relaxed atmosphere that are undoubtedly Torrox Pueblos' biggest attraction. Park the car in the large parking lot at the entrance to Torrox, put on good walking shoes and sunglasses, relax and enjoy the idyll.
